This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our iOS application ("App") or when you or your family members engage with our telephony services ("Service").
We recognize the deeply personal nature of family memories and are committed to treating your data with the highest level of security and respect.

We collect data from two distinct groups: Users (account holders, typically adult children) and Participants (interview subjects, typically parents or grandparents).
A. Information Collected from Users (via the App)
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and payment information used to manage the subscription.
- Family Context & Setup: Names of family members, relationships, biographical details, and specific themes or questions you input into the App to guide the AI interviewer.
- Usage Data: Logs of how you interact with the App, including search queries within your family archive and playback history.
B. Information Collected from Participants (via Phone Calls)
- Voice Recordings: Audio recordings of the telephone conversations between the Participant and our AI interviewer.
- Transcripts: Text-based transcriptions of these conversations generated by our AI.
- Telephony Metadata: Call timestamps, duration, the phone number called, and call completion status.
- Extracted Memories: Summaries, keywords, and specific stories extracted from the conversation transcripts.
C. Technical Information
- Device Data: IP address, device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- App Permissions: If you grant the App permission to access your contacts (to easily add family members) or microphone (for voice-inputting questions), we collect data associated with those specific permissions.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Facilitate Interviews: Initiate automated phone calls to Participants at scheduled times.
- Process Content: Transcribe audio, extract "memories," and organize them into a searchable archive.
- Service Delivery: Provide the User with access to recordings, transcripts, and summaries via the App.
- Product Improvement: Analyze conversation patterns to improve the empathy and conversational flow of our AI.
- Create Physical Products: If requested, to compile content into printed books or documentary-style productions.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers essential to our operations:
- Telephony & Voice AI Providers: We use third-party providers (such as VAPI and telephony carriers) to generate the AI voice and place calls over the public telephone network. These providers process audio in real-time.
- Cloud Storage: We use secure cloud infrastructure providers to store your archives.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
5. Data Retention
- Recordings & Transcripts: Retained as long as your account is active to provide your family archive. You may request deletion of specific memories or the entire account at any time.
- Legacy Preservation: In the event of an account holder's passing, we may facilitate the transfer of the archive to a verified next-of-kin, subject to legal verification.
6. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have control over your personal information and family memories stored in our Service. You have the right to:
Access & Download Your Data
You may request a copy of all your information, including recordings, transcripts, and account data. We will provide your data in a portable format that you can download and keep.
Request Data Deletion
You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Upon receiving your deletion request:
- We will permanently delete all your personal information, voice recordings, transcripts, and account data
- All data will be deleted within 30 days of your request
- This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone

7. Children's Privacy
Our App is intended for use by adults. While we help preserve family stories, we do not knowingly collect personal account data from children under 13.
